Psychics

You cannot turn on the television without seeing some sort of Psychic friend telling someone about their past or future. Most are talking to a woman about some tall handsome man they met or are going to meet. Then there are those who tell some one they have money coming their way. The first "reading" is free or the first minute or so is, then it will cost anywhere from $1.00 to $3.99 per minute. At least that is the range I have seen.  The callers are awe struck at what these (Psychics, Clairvoyants, Mediums, Channelers, Fortune Tellers or what ever they call themselves), are telling them. They say, "How can you possibly know that"? The answer comes back, "because we are real".  There is just as much or more here on the Internet. Just punch in any of the words above and thousands of pages are referenced. Those who are turning to these Fortunetellers do not know how they receive their information, nor do those who are doing it.  They believe they have some sort of "gift" from heaven, the false gods of witchcraft, or from some other force in universe.

The word of God clearly condemns divination and any other means of telling the future, or what has happened in the past. Some are being told they are the reincarnation of some person from the past and their memory needs to be tapped to find out who they really are.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12   There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Kings II 17:17 and they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Jeremiah 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of naught, and the deceit of their heart.

So if God is not the source of the info who is.

Acts 16:16-18   And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:  The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

To put it plain and simple, they are in contact with demonic forces. Satan's followers the fallen angels. (See Satan's origin)  They will deceive you into believing they are good and all the while you are a participant in something that is an abomination to God.  Satan does this to keep people ignorant and out of Gods will for their lives. Most want a short cut around life and try to get a glimpse into the future. Demons are liars just like Satan. Those in contact with them are possessed and get information directly from the spirit world. Many say what is wrong with it. A burning hell is what is wrong. Those who are the mediums and those who go for this garbage are in need of salvation. The sad thing is, many pew setters are the ones who are calling these psychics instead of asking the one who created them!!!
