The Twisting of Words, telling half truth and outright lying has become the normal practice in the world. Even in the Church Body! Very few have the……… guts or the Spiritual Discernment to call a spade a spade and stand against evil no matter what the cost!
No other two Scriptures in the Word of God could explain it better:
Isaiah 5:20 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
We are at War folks and the Apostle Paul tells us exactly WHO the enemy is. That enemy is Lucifer, his fallen angels and demons. However, Flesh and Blood has given over to the principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and the spiritual wickedness in high places.
Bottom line First! Lucifer’s minions have been exposed and more are being exposed on a daily basis. Make no mistake, they are in full attack mode. Unless Good engages the enemy in the name and power of the Lord Jesus Christ, defeat will be the result.
What can we learn from Old Testament stories and the battle Israel had with Lucifer’s minions?
Exodus 17:8-12 “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. 10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”
- The Amalekites are the World, the Flesh and the Devil!
- Joshua represents the God Head fighting the Amalekites.
- Moses represents the body of Christ, the True Church.
- Aaron represents Jesus the great High Priest.
- Hur represents the Holy Spirit.
Note that when Moses tired in his own flesh the enemy prevailed. It was only when Aaron and Hur, (Jesus and the Holy Spirit), kept Moses’ arms lifted did Joshua defeat the enemy!
Who were the Amalekites? One of the many “tribes” who were the ENEMY of Gods people!
Scripture records the long-lasting feud between the Amalekites and the Israelites and God’s direction to wipe the Amalekites off the face of the earth (Exodus 17:8–13; 1 Samuel 15:2; Deuteronomy 25:17). Why God would call His people to exterminate an entire tribe is a difficult question, but a look at history may give some insight.
Like many desert tribes, the Amalekites were nomadic. Numbers 13:29 places them as native to the Negev, the desert between Egypt and Canaan. The Babylonians called them the Sute, Egyptians the Sittiu, and the Amarna tablets refer to them as the Khabbati, or “plunderers.”
The Amalekites’ unrelenting brutality toward the Israelites began with an attack at Rephidim (Exodus 17:8–13). This is recounted in Deuteronomy 25:17–19 with this admonition: “Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind [typically women and children]: they had no fear of God. When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!”
The Amalekites later joined with the Canaanites and attacked the Israelites at Hormah (Numbers 14:45). In Judges they banded with the Moabites (Judges 3:13) and the Midianites (Judges 6:3) to wage war on the Israelites. They were responsible for the repeated destruction of the Israelites’ land and food supply.
The Amalekites’ hatred of the Jews and their repeated attempts to destroy God’s people led to their ultimate doom. Their fate should be a warning to all who would attempt to thwart God’s plan or who would curse what God has blessed (see Genesis 12:3). Source excerpts: Got Questions
There are many “Tribes”, Factions, Groups, whatever you want to call them, who are still fighting against God’s people. Forget Israel for the moment and apply scripture to what is happening in America RIGHT NOW! The DNC, The Democrats, RINO Republicans, Antifa, Socialists, Communists, Islam, and False Religious factions are the Evil! They have banned together and have that same demonic spirit as the Amalekites, Canaanites, Moabites, Midianites and all other “ites” listed in Scripture. They are the ones who Twist Scripture, Lie, Cheat, Steal and are trying to overthrow and defeat Good!
Joshua would prevail when Moses kept his hands raised, and when he let them down, Amalek would start winning! You raising your arms like Moses is NOT as sign of surrender to the Enemy. No! It IS a sign of surrender to the LORD and acknowledging that HE is the one who wins the battle!
In a similar way, ALL Democrats were mocking God’s people during the election with the sly words “When they go low, we go high”. No devil’s disciples, just as Isaiah stated, you have it backwards. Isaiah 1:4, “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.”
The important point in the story is that Goliath (Just like the Obamas, Clintons, Mad Maxine and others) was taunting the sovereign Lord of the universe. He was challenging God’s people to stand up to him and demonstrate that their God was more powerful than his gods.
David’s faith was born out of his experience of God’s grace and mercy in his life up to that point. The Lord had delivered him out of dangerous situations in the past, proving His power and trustworthiness, and David relied on Him to deliver him from the Philistine.
