As the Catholic missionaries swarmed Britain and Ireland seeking the mass conversion to Catholicism their orders from Pope Gregory in 601 A.D. was to cunningly convert the Druid rituals into Catholic rituals. The Catholics converted the ritual of Samhain into the festival of All Saint’s Day, a day of celebration and prayer to dead “Saints.” Source
When we say the Christian Connection, it means the Catholic Church and its rituals. Catholicism is NOT Christianity, it is religion. So technically, the connection is between Paganism and a man-made religion, and NOT the True Gospel of Jesus Christ!
All Saints Day, once celebrated in Spring, was a Roman Catholic observance, which was later to merge with Samhain. This day that honored all the “hallowed” saints was first observed on the evening of May 13, and was known as the All hallows festival. All Saints’ Day or All Hallow’s Eve (from whence Halloween) originated in the 7th century when the Pantheon at Rome was wrested from the barbarians, made into a cathedral, and renamed the Church of the Blessed Virgin and All Martyrs. Thus, from honoring “all gods” (which is the meaning of the Greek word “pantheon”) the Pantheon became the center for glorifying all saints. (This allowed the Pagans to continue to worship multiple gods, just by changing their names to those of the Saints.)
Jeremiah 10:2 “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.” Now what part of that scripture do you not understand? Have you ever read it before? Whenever there is a “Thus saith the LORD” you had best pay close attention and heed what God is saying!
The new combined holiday was officially authorized in 835 by Pope Gregory IV and moved to November 1 to coincide with Samhain. It began on the evening of October 31, which was called All Hallows Eve. This was done to mingle the violent Celtic pagans without having to try and force them to drop their pagan practices and accept Christianity. The church merely made room to accommodate the heathen. The Roman Church incorporated the customs of Samhain as a method of furthering its mission to convert the known world to Roman Catholicism. Samhain and All Saints Day made a strange combination: one reveling in evil spirits, the other honoring “saints.”
Joining of the two celebrations produced a myriad of beliefs about what was happening in the spirit world. Souls supposedly in purgatory were suddenly appearing as witches and toads come to torment persons who had wronged them. The ritualistic bone-fires of Halloween suddenly were burning as a symbol of comfort for the souls in purgatory as people prayed holding burning straw in the air. Even the wicked trick-or-treating by evil spirits took on an acceptable church flavor as costumed children went around offering to fast for the departed souls in return for money or an offering. As the Celts converted to the new religion, they did not forget their ancient tales of the dead who traveled to the after world on Samhain. In spite of the effort to “civilize the holiday, the exhibitions of this night belied the evil and the observance adopted malicious overtones.
Deuteronomy 12:29-32 “When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.“
Halloween Today
Halloween is an ancient observance, it’s been around for thousands of years, but despite all efforts to reform its crude, disgusting, and evil history, has it improved? Or, is it still Satan’s holiday? My answer to that is “yes” it remains Satan’s holiday. Even though we live in the computer and wireless age where everything is quick and easy, and the Word of God is being spread abroad faster than ever, where religious rituals involving immoral deeds are frowned upon by even non-Christians, the acts and spirit of Halloween have not been altered, including sexual rituals and human sacrifices. There are young women today being forced to bare children solely for the purpose of sacrifice. These babies are born purposely to be offered as sacrifices in satanic rituals and beastly acts, every Halloween. There are women and children who are raped in the woods on Halloween night in some satanic rituals. This stuff is real, and as Christians, I don’t think we can afford to remain blind any longer. We need to wake up, and see what we are celebrating every year. Worse yet what are we passing down to our children and grandchildren? In our modern day, Satanists and Witch’s covens rejoice in season, the time when Satan himself comes to “fellowship” with his followers. Many changes have occurred over the centuries, but one thing has remained the same and that is the practice of giving an “offering” or “sacrifice”. Satan demands it and his minions gladly oblige.

“Today Halloween is a High Satanic Holiday. On this day children are brutally tortured and offered in sacrifice to Satan. I have actually spoken to people who have watched the demonic rituals and have partaken in them. The babies are birthed by “carrier women” impregnated by Satanists specifically for this purpose. Seldom is evidence ever found due to the fact that the secretiveness of all the rituals are extremely concealed and threats are made to those who would dare divulge the truth.
Satanists torture, mutilate, murder and even commit cannibalism on their victims. It is not only horrifying but demonic – just what they intend. As they commit these rituals they actually “gain” Satanic power and strength. In the same way that we gain power, joy and victory through Christian fellowship so they gain demonic strength through their rituals. On high holidays – such as Halloween – it is an all-out demonic celebration of death. No good thing comes from this night.
When we know what is behind Halloween there is little that can be celebrated. Though there are a million arguments to celebrate this night, i.e. “It’s just fun to let the kids dress up; It’s just a holiday; We aren’t doing anything evil; We dress up as angels, etc.” – it is still a night that innocent babies all over the world will be brutally murdered. I have always found it difficult to celebrate Halloween knowing that innocent children are suffering a slow, torturous death.” Source
The Obscene in Halloween
Halloween has always manifested the obscene. Its horrid history is paved with vandalism, destruction and wickedness and all manor of evil. The sickening depravity of razor blades and needles in apples and poisoned candies of the 1970’s was a clear testimony to the evil of Halloween.
Some say that Halloween brings out the evil side of human nature in certain individuals. The number of vandalism acts committed each year on Halloween certainly seems to support this. . . (Dunwich, Gerina. The Pagan Book of Halloween, p. 23)
Satanic High Priestess Blanche Barton, on The Church of Satan web site, praises Halloween stating:
“It [ Halloween] gives even the most mundane people the opportunity to taste wickedness for one night. They have a chance to dance with the Devil…I see Satanists all over the world meeting in small groups this night and Hallowe’ens 500 years hence, to raise a glass to the Infernal Hosts…” Source
Halloween has always been a night of perversion and inversion—a night where misrule rules and decadence masquerades as decency. Halloween’s “best kept secret” is its romantic love affair with homosexuals. Halloween was the golden key that unlocked the homosexual’s closet of perversion. Halloween’s spirit of inversion, bestowed the homosexuals one utopian night to publicly flaunt their corruption and immorality.

The Omen of Halloween
While many deem Halloween as harmless fun and fantasy, Halloween subtlety disarms our (and especially our children’s) discernment of witches and the occult. Halloween’s magic potion of “fun and frolic” transformed witches, demons, devils and evil incarnate into “fine folks.” Over 1.2 million practicing and proud witches live in America. Witchcraft currently is the fastest growing religion in America. At some time, nearly every little girl becomes a witch on Halloween. Witch RavenWolf delights when a vulnerable little girl dresses as a witch on Halloween:
Today, just about every little girl in our society, at one time or another, has chosen to costume herself as a Witch. . . If you choose a Witch’s costume this Halloween . . . Hold your head up and wear your Witch’s garb proudly in their honor. (RavenWolf, Silver. Halloween: Customs, Recipes & Spells, p. 64)
Occult historian Jean Markale discloses Halloween bids more than childish dress-up. It is a pagan “initiatory journey” guided by someone [ Satan] “hidden in the shadows,” and none “return from Halloween innocent”:
The passage into the world of Halloween is truly an initiatory journey. One does not return from it an innocent. But making the journey alone does not mean there was no guide, no initiator, someone who prompted the quest and who, sometimes hidden in the shadows, watches over the comings and goings of the neophyte through this labyrinth that is the Other World. (Markale, Jean. The Pagan Mysteries of Halloween, p. 127)
Dr. David Enoch, former senior consultant psychiatrist at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and the University of Liverpool, states: Halloween practices open the door to the occult and can introduce forces into people’s lives that they do not understand and often cannot combat. . . (Parker, Russ. Battling the Occult, p. 35)
With all the promotion of witchcraft in our media, it is no wonder that young people today are fascinated. Every channel on Television, most of the Hollywood movies, music videos and songs on the Hit Parade, all force feeding the occult to our kids 24/7. Our young people today have a love affair with death. Take a serious look around you. They dress all in black with skulls and upside down crosses all over them. Their heroes are Vampires and Witches. They can’t get enough blood and guts. They are so hepped up on fear porn, they are addicted. You would be amazed to find out how many young people that you know are either practicing witches or have at least dabbled in it.
With all the violence in school and all the bullying. It is no wonder they are looking for something to give them some power and/or protection. They should be finding that safety in God. But, we have allowed the pagans to kick God out of our nation. Yes, I said nation. He was kicked out of our schools long ago, then our government, and now our cities and most people’s lives. These kids are turning to the dark side by the millions, because they see power there. There is power there. Demonic forces have power and authority for a time. Without the blood of the Savior, our young people are lost. Easy prey for the forces of evil.
Opportunities of Halloween
Jude 1:23 “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
This entire season is a matter of life and death for countless people around the globe. We need to rise up and take up the fight. Spend the month before and after this satanic day to lift in prayer those who have been targeted, captured or even bred for sacrifice. Fast and pray. Warn those with whom you come in contact to be extra careful during this time period.
The devil’s troops are out there recruiting, are you? Go ye therefore… Before it is too late. Generation X is lost…hopelessly lost, unless we do something.
Is Halloween a TRICK or TREAT?
Most absolutely a TRICK. As you can see from all the above the real meaning of Halloween has been watered down. It is Satan’s objective to get all to worship him. The greatest weapon/tool he has is deception. IF he can get you to buy the lie, he has you. God tells us to not have anything to do with any of these hideous practices.
1st Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.”
1stTimothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons.”
If you are a professing Christian, you have no reason to be associating yourself in any way with this satanic unholy day. When you do the same things, on the same day, for whatever reason, you are aligned with them. Please don’t say “well everybody does it”. NO, everybody is NOT doing it. God will hold you responsible for what you do this Halloween. Will you ignore the truth and participate in deeds of unrighteousness, or will you pass the word along and lead someone else to the truth?
Romans 10:1-3 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel (insert your name here) is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.(They do not know what the true Gospel is) 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, (Don’t really know Jesus Christ) and going about to establish their own righteousness, ( I did it my way) have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” (Embracing fleshly desires and will not serve God)
Romans 8:5-8 ‘For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
That is what ignoring the evils of Halloween will get you. A carnal mind that is not pleasing to God and will result in not just an early death physically, but spiritually!
If you are not yet convinced… still kidding yourself that Halloween is all about fun… if your conscience still is comfortable with your participation in the festivities of Halloween… I dare you to watch this video. Unless you have had your conscience seared, you cannot watch this video without being moved.
