Religious Superstition

Couple creeped out by secret ‘medieval witchcraft pouch’ underneath their stairs

A renovation project turned in to a history lesson about ancient occult practices when a stash of shoes, skulls and a half-eaten hat were found in a bricked up chamber

A couple got more than they bargained for when they decided to do up their old country house – discovering a haul of random items left to deter witches.

Kerrie Jackson and her husband Bleddyn noticed something weird while working on the staircase of the 16th-century farmhouse in North Wales.

They found a mysterious bundle stuffed into a void in the woodwork, but nothing could have prepared them for what was inside.

It contained eight left-footed shoes, various animal skulls, rusted gun barrels and what looked to be the half-eaten remains of a hat.

Making the discovery even creepier, the couple believe that the items hail from late Medieval times, and would have been used to ward off witches and demons.

Believe me when I say that inanimate objects, Herbs and Spices, or a mantra from a religious person, will NOT protect you from the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11) or one of his minions! Only YOU being Born Again, Filled with the Holy Spirit, will protect you from demons, curses and spells.

Only by putting on the FULL Armour of GOD (Ephesians 6:11-18) and using the name of Jesus Christ and His Shed blood will make demons, witches and other forms of evil flee!

James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

What does the Bible say about superstitions?

Superstition is based on the ignorant faith of an object having magical powers. Another word for superstition is “idolatry.” The Bible does not support the idea of things occurring by chance, but nothing is done outside of God’s sovereign control. Either He causes or allows everything in keeping with His divine plan (Acts 4:28; Ephesians 1:10).

There are many types of superstitions in the world, ranging from the benign—such as not walking under a ladder—to the occult practices of astrology, black magic, divination, voodoo and sorcery. Scripture condemns those who practice astrology (Deuteronomy 4:19), magic, divination and sorcery (2nd Kings 21:6, Isaiah 2:6). Idolatry is also forbidden, and no one who practices it will enter the Kingdom of God (Revelation 21:27). These types of practices are extremely dangerous because they open the minds of the practitioners to the influence of the devil. 1st Peter 5:8 warns us to “be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

We should get our faith not from objects or rituals of man-made origin, but from the one true God who gives eternal life. “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority” (Colossians 2:8-10).

If you go to the store to buy Meat, don't run to the Milk section or the Junk Food aisle looking for it!!

The Meat Section is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Milk Section is likened to those who will not preach on sin and Hell, just a feel good message, the Social gospel.

The Junk Food Isle is the outright false doctrine AKA the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, the Hebraic Roots movement and other false teachings!!

Feasting on just Milk and Junk will eventually cause you great harm, you can count on it!!
